Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, provides the newest medical technology in a healing environment. It is the most comprehensive facility of its kind on the Virginia Peninsula. This short-term acute care hospital with 300 beds is a voluntary nonprofit and a member of Riverside Health System. The hospital features a neonatal intensive care unit with 21 beds and neonatologists located on-site.

Case Assignments

General, endo, vascular, neuro, radiology, vascular, thoracic, urology, cardiac, bariatric, orthopedic, plastics ENT, OB, and GYN

Shifts

1 Week On, 1 Week Off (26 Weeks Off a Year). This is a day shift position, 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday and 7am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday. No call required!

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Qualifications

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

• Salary: $313,400K
• 1099 Option Available
