Urgent Care Veterinarian – Detroit, Michigan

Urgent care small animal practice seeking a skilled Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their medical team. This role focuses on providing timely, high-quality care for pets with non-life-threatening conditions such as minor injuries, gastrointestinal issues, and other urgent needs—without the demands of wellness care or major surgeries. The position offers a supportive environment, strong technical assistance, and access to modern diagnostic tools, allowing you to focus on what you do best: helping patients when they need it most.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate and efficient care to small animal patients with urgent medical needs
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients about treatment options and care plans
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled support team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Manage a dynamic caseload and maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Foster a positive and supportive clinic culture focused on teamwork and growth
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent through ECFVG/PAVE)
  • Active veterinary license in good standing in the applicable state (or ability to obtain)
  • Excellent clinical judgment, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
