Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, develops and conducts moderately complex research experiments under the general direction of the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Interprets data, identifies potential problems, and finds solutions.
- Reads research literature in the field.
- Conducts experiments and collects and analyzes data using various degrees of statistical methodology.
- May train other lab members in experimental techniques.
- Ensures compliance with animal care and occupational safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in a scientific discipline appropriate to the research department.
- One year of related post-baccalaureate experience in a research environment.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment.
- Familiarity with statistical and research methodology is desirable.
