Retail Territory Manager - Detroit, Michigan

The Job

As a Retail Territory Manager, you will work as part of the Retail Sales team, remote within your territory. You will manage a territory of Home Depot and Lowe’s accounts, overseeing daily retail account visits, analyzing metrics in Salesforce, Power BI, and Show Pad to strategically map your customer routing schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving top‑line sales to deliver quarterly and annual POS goals.
  • Partnering with store and district managers to align retail strategies.
  • Analyzing POS and promotional performance to develop individualized sales plans.
  • Working with Sales Operations to ensure proper inventory for promotions.
  • Using Power BI and Salesforce data to inform execution strategy and SKU‑level analysis.
  • Executing national event activations and local territory activations to drive market share.
  • Implementing over‑drive strategies to promote product sell‑through and identify key opportunities.
  • Engaging key decision makers to inform and implement custom initiatives.
  • Partnering with retail service partners for monthly meetings and quality walks.
  • Leveraging sales enablement tools to identify sales gaps and create plans.
  • Managing inventory and order writing with retail partners, including exit strategies for special buy promotions.
  • Building relationships with professional end‑users through product training and product seeding.
  • Executing monthly job site visits aligned with retailer pro strategies.
  • Managing budgets (T&E, Demo Tool, etc.) to drive profitability.
The Person
  • 3‑5 years of retail sales experience in the consumer goods industry.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and work occasional weekends (8–10 weeks per year).
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to analyze Power BI and Salesforce data to develop strategic growth plans.
  • Understanding of IT business systems (BW, , Tool Commerce) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must pass a drug test and motor vehicle record check.
