Company Overview:
Our client company specializes in diagnostic tests and services across a range of therapeutic areas, including urology, women's health, gastroenterology and cancer. The company has grown rapidly in recent years as increasing numbers of urologists have adopted its unique UTI test, which simultaneously diagnoses and guides antibiotic treatment for complex, recurring urinary tract infections. Their signature product is a “hot product”;
it is a unique, differentiated approach that shines comparable to the traditional, legacy way of doing Urology diagnostics.
Position: Territory Manager. The Territory Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: creating long term relationships with physician clinics, specifically urologists and their office staff, building new business via face‑to‑face cold calls in clinics, and coordinating with internal customer support and commercial operations teams to meet clients’ needs, effectively executing the company’s national sales strategy in keeping with Company goals and objectives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of documented successful sales experience in the healthcare sector.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; must maintain proof of insurance.
- Ideal is someone that has sold to call points that include urology, women's health, endocrinology, family practice, oncology, etc.
Location / Territory: Prefer the new hire to live in the Detroit area. There will be some overnight travel on a monthly basis but not much.
Pay:
- $95k base salary + variable compensation plan, (OTE of $175k)
- Full benefits to include 401k
- There are other incentives in place to reward stretch goal achievements. Five reps were at $300k or more in W-2 last year and 1 was at $400k.
- Car allowance is provided along with parking and fuel reimbursements.
Travel: There will be some overnight travel on a monthly basis.
Attributes of the successful candidate: Energetic, disciplined, has passion, polish, scrappy, hungry. Successful sales background. This is a total office selling situation, solving problems, working with physicians and their teams. Big plus is having previous experience selling to urology, women's healthcare, and primary care call points.
