Our pavement maintenance team plays a vital role in keeping pavement in top condition.
Job SummaryAs a Pavement Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing pavement maintenance services such as line striping, asphalt crack filling, seal coating, milling, and repaving. Using specialized equipment and materials, you will ensure safe, long‑lasting pavement solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the work area by clearing debris, setting grades, and ensuring proper base conditions.
- Operate machines to spread, smooth, level, or steel‑reinforce stone, concrete, or asphalt on parking lots.
- Control paving machines to push dump trucks and maintain a constant flow of asphalt or other material into hoppers or screeds.
- Fill tanks, hoppers, or machines with paving materials.
- Perform minor repairs or patching on asphalt surfaces as needed.
- Monitor material consistency and temperature to ensure proper application.
- Inspect parking areas for safety hazards and report issues.
- Operate, clean, and maintain pavement maintenance equipment.
- Ensure high‑quality workmanship by following best practices and job specifications.
- Maintain a safe, hazard‑free job site, following all safety protocols.
- Communicate job progress with the Crew Supervisor daily.
- Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Adapt to different job sites and changing conditions.
- Identify and engage opportunities to upsell customers on relevant services.
- Display reliable, responsible, and dependable behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate pavement maintenance equipment safely.
- Familiarity with asphalt tools and paving processes preferred.
- Experience in pavement maintenance (preferred but not required—we provide training!).

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
