Social Worker Full-Time | Detroit, MI | School Year
A fantastic school district located in Detroit, MI is seeking a full-time Social Worker to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement, emotional well-being, and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and guidance.
Responsibilities- Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students based on individual needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development and well-being
- Assist in implementing behavior or educational plans as needed
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation of interventions and outcomes
- Participate in meetings and provide insight into student performance, social-emotional needs, and barriers to learning
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) and current Michigan Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW)
- Experience working in school settings or with children and adolescents preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of behavioral, social-emotional, and clinical intervention strategies relevant to students
- Competitive hourly pay starting $45 $ 55+ per hour, based on experience
