Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
JOB TITLE: Recruitment and Intake Specialist (Bilingual Spanish/English)

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt/Hourly

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for outreach, recruitment and the initial assessment of applicants for program and determines eligibility for training services. Also assists with the social media outreach.
Responsibilities- Engage in outreach activities that will recruit qualified applicants for the program.
- Develop, maintain, update and track social media platforms such as Facebook, Linked In and the website on a weekly basis.
- Conduct orientation for candidates who are interested in the program.
- Collect and gather information and documents relating to eligibility certification according to DOL WIOA program and other applicable standards.
- Advise customers on rights and responsibilities associated with programs and services.
- Verify documentation, completes all pertinent forms and prepares for submission to the Program Manager.
- Show interest and concern for all customers, treating them with respect and care.
- Enter candidate information in electronic databases, including File Maker in timely manner.
- Maintain detailed participant records in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized, efficient, and secure filing system.
- Attend public/community events, career and job fairs to promote initiatives.
- Take videos and photographs; as applicable to SER programming or scheduled events.
- Contribute to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
- Three years of customer service and/or outreach and engagement experience.
- General knowledge of outreach and recruitment practices.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn data tracking and management information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with staff, participants and partner agencies.
- Must demonstrate strong prioritization and organization on assigned projects.
- Ability to input basic data, prepare routine reports, file confidential records correctly, and type materials as requested.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative and persistence.
- Ability to interact with customers in a positive and productive manner.
- Ability to relate sensitively to a multiracial and multicultural group of people.
- Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) required.
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license and have access to reliable transportation in order to travel to off-site locations/events.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (evenings/weekends).

Physical DemandsThis is a partially active role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and frequently use hands and to talk or hear. Some sedentary work and filing may be required. This would require the ability to sit for extended periods of time, lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job operates in a normal school environment with a noise level, which is at times, moderately loud with little discomfort due to noise, dirt, dust and the like. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
