We are seeking an innovative engineer to be part of our team responsible for re-architecting, designing, developing, and launching the next-generation code base aligned with our future platform architecture. The role involves analysis and development tasks on the award-winning thinkorswim trading platform, our most advanced trading platform (including derivatives). The candidate will develop high-performing, low-latency, real-time trading software in a highly distributed and networked environment, utilizing technologies like networking, sockets, concurrent programming, caching, and clustered architecture.

• At least 5 years of web/internet-based programming experience (both client and server-side);
  Java J2EE preferred. Ability to code/program on demand.
• Experience with OOA/OOD, distributed systems/software, real-time processing, relational databases, messaging systems, Agile, test-driven development, rich UI frameworks (e.g., Angular JS, jQuery, DOJO, Ajax, HTML 5, Swing, Java FX), APIs, application frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Struts), SOA, and Web Services.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline required.
• Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian qualifications.
