Role Summary

As a Team Leader of Engineering at Rocket Pro, you will drive critical AI initiatives including the Agentic AI Portal Experience, Pricing Experience, and Rocket Assist. You'll be a hands‑on servant leader who balances technical excellence with people leadership, spending some of your time as an individual contributor while dedicating a majority to leading a team of 6 engineers. You will champion technical innovation while mentoring your team to deliver AI‑powered solutions that enhance our clients experience and business outcomes.

• Lead and mentor an Agile team that leans into data‑driven experimentation, innovation, quality and craftsmanship.
• Drive critical initiatives for Rocket Pro, including AI‑powered solutions within the portal experience.
• Balance hands‑on engineering work (30%) with leadership responsibilities (70%) to maintain technical credibility.
• Promote iterative, thoughtful decision making within a self‑organized team.
• Recognize trends affecting delivery goals and support team decisions on short‑and long‑term resolutions.
• Drive performance in areas such as quality, predictability, flow and velocity.
• Coordinate response and communication of tech incidents to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience with latest Angular, C#, .NET, Node.js, Type Script, and AWS.
• Experience mentoring and developing team members.
• Knowledge of organizational technology standards, including testing and deployment.
• Experience using Agile metrics to improve team performance.

• 3+ years in a people‑management role, developing high‑performing engineers.
• Strong front‑end development background with current engineering standards and best practices.
• Experience with AI technologies including AWS Bedrock models, Claude, and Git Copilot.
• Knowledge of architectural design and integration patterns.
• Experience working on teams that meet organizational engineering standards.
• Working knowledge of multiple Agile development methodologies.
• Certified in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile practices.
