Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join their freight forwarding team in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will have hands sportifs experience preparing customs entries, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced logistics environment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and compliant import documentation while providing excellent service to our customers.

• Prepare and submit U.S. Customs entries in compliance with all CBP regulations
• Review shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) for accuracy and completeness
• Classify merchandise using HTS codes and ensure proper valuation
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and government agencies regarding shipments and documentation
• Track and resolve entry issues, discrepancies, and customs holds
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems
• Provide professional customer service support related to import shipments

• 1–3 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a related import/compliance role
• 2–3 years of customer service experience, preferably within logistics,'};
