American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department I position requiring ND or compact RN licensure and multiple emergency certifications.
Requirements- Active RN license (North Dakota or Compact) required prior to start
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through AHA required prior to start
- NRP and TNCC certifications required
- ENPC certification required upon course qualification
- Emergency department nursing experience required
- Work in the Emergency Department of a 24/7 hospital setting
- 13-week assignment with 3x12 day/night rotating shifts
- 36 hours per week with 30-minute meal breaks
- No on-call responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care including assessment, care planning, and intervention for emergency patients
- Monitor for early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond appropriately, including emergency measures as needed
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and complete required documentation and incident reports
- Begin discharge planning early and provide patient/family education to support safe discharge
- Delegate nursing interventions appropriately within scope of practice and competence
