Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep

Position SummaryLead and develop teams by teaching training, actively listening to associates touring stores, and providing feedback. Tourto Teach communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way OBW service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies, providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience. Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition. Promote a belonging mindset, recruit and develop qualified associates, and maintain compliance with company policies and values. Uphold ethical standards, support Walmart's regenerative goals through sustainable practices, and serve customers and members with a customer‑first mindset.
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition: additional state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility if required.
- Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or certificates from Live Better U or Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
