M J McGuire Company in Rugby, North Dakota is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing, family-owned dealership. We're looking for a skilled and motivated technician with strong mechanical expertise. You'll be responsible for performing high-quality repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on customer vehicles while delivering the exceptional service our community has trusted for generations.

This role is located in Rugby, ND, and a relocation bonus will be offered to the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and Ford standards
  • Test-drive vehicles and evaluate systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including:
    • Engine
    • Transmission
    • Electrical steering
    • Suspension
    • Brakes
    • HVAC / A/C
    • And other related components
  • Communicate clearly with the Service Advisor regarding additional needed repairs and time estimates
  • Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensure all work meets the highest safety and quality standards
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ford Certification required
  • Previous Ford dealership experience strongly preferred
  • B-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to continually grow
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Comfort with learning new technology, procedures, and specifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
