Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel semi-trucks and trailers. Ensures adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

• Assess and follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure timely equipment care.
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize work orders and address operational issues.
• Utilize maintenance systems for accurate documentation of repairs and service history.
• Perform DOT inspections, repair air brake and electrical components, replace starters, alternators, batteries, and service suspension and cooling systems.
• Maintain detailed service records and repair documentation.
• Diagnose refrigeration issues, replace sensors and electrical parts, and service refrigerant systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 3-5 years of related mechanical experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain mechanic tools and toolbox.
• Completion of safety and driving certifications (training provided).
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and perform tasks requiring walking, crouching, bending, and reaching.

Must work in a warehouse setting, often exposed to variable temperatures and noise, with the ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays. Travel may be required.
