Salary: Grade F (£27,254 - £28,598 pro rata)

Hours of work: 18 hrs per week (over 3 days) 39 working weeks of the year

All about the role

This is a varied and rewarding role that will play a key part in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school. Working closely with staff, parents/carers and external professionals, you will provide high-quality administrative support across a range of school functions, including the coordination of Annual Reviews and pupil administration processes. Main

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the schools Pupil Services Team to ensure a smooth running of the support services
  • Organise and take minutes of Annual Review meetings
  • Communicate effectively with members of the wider school community, including all staff, parents/carers and members of the public
  • Provide efficient administrative support for members of the school community, including Senior Leadership Team, Governors, school staff, parents/carers and pupils
  • To maximise the use of ICT and Management Information Systems across all office functions ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • To ensure the school’s values are upheld at all times
  • Willingness to share ICT skills with colleagues both in the office and in the wider school community
  • Ensure that all data is treated with appropriate consideration to confidentiality and security
  • Liaise with parents/carers and support agencies, as necessary
  • Ensure that cover is provided for receptionist duties, such as answering the telephone and welcoming visitors as required
  • Comply with all school policies and procedures especially those relating to child protection; administrative function; health, safety and security; confidentiality and data protection, reporting any concerns to an appropriate person
  • Be aware of and support difference, and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/vision/aims of the school
  • Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals when required
  • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development, as required
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post as directed by the line manager
About you
  • Have previous administrative experience, preferably within an education or office environment
  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate a professional, positive and flexible approach to work
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office applications and database systems
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
