Teaching Assistant + MDSA Chirton C of E Primary School

The working hours for this role are expected to be 12:00 - 15:15, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is 19th January 2026.

Chirton C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant + MDSA. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include developing methods of promoting/reinforcing the children's self-esteem and independence. Assist children with key areas, e.g. language, reading, spelling, handwriting and presentation. As specified by the Class Teacher, develop appropriate resources to support children while developing strategies to support their learning, identifying the specific needs of individual children. The successful candidate will be able to confidently communicate and be able to provide regular feedback about children to the class teacher.

You will have the opportunity to reinforce the school ethos, e.g. expectations of behaviour within class and elsewhere on the school site.
