Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Devizes, £90 – £100 per day, PAYE

Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and associated challenging behaviours.
• Work closely with a small class of eight students, liaising with the class teacher, therapists and support staff to help all students flourish.
• Develop the independence, social skills and communication of students, as well as their physical and creative development.
• Ensure all pupils are supported emotionally, helping them navigate their own feelings and emotions.
• Encourage different ways to communicate and teach specialist communication methods such as Makaton, PECS and TEACHH.

• Recent graduate or holding a degree in Psychology, Criminology, English, or Linguistics (or a related discipline).
• Passion for supporting others and a positive, dedicated attitude.
• Demonstrated interest in communication and language acquisition.
