About the Role

We work in partnership with local schools to provide Trainee Teaching Assistants with high-quality training alongside paid, on-the-job experience.

Following a successful interview and completion of suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, you will be able to download an app on your phone, that allows you to mark the days you want to work, and the days you are not available. On the days you are working, you will be covering staff absences and pre-planned holidays.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore and specialise in areas such as EYFS, KS1, KS2, secondary education, and SEND provision.

Requirements

To be considered for the National Teaching Assistant Programme, you should:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
  • Be committed to improving outcomes for all pupils
  • Be kind, caring, and compassionate
  • Be proactive with strong communication skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Be willing to complete required training and ongoing CPD
  • Be prepared to obtain an Enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service

Minimum requirements:

  • No formal qualifications required
  • Two verifiable professional references
  • Willingness to obtain a DBS on the Update Service
