As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the organisation's management accounts and play a central role in leading a small but capable finance team. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Operations, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

This is a hands‑on and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical accounting and team leadership within a purpose‑led environment.

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Manage and support a small finance team, providing guidance and development
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance across all processes
• Produce clear financial insights for senior leadership and trustees
• Liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
• Support year‑end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and reporting efficiency
• Act as a trusted finance partner across the wider organisation

We are looking for a confident, approachable and self‑motivated finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

• Part‑qualified, fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience
• Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting
• Ability to lead or support a small finance team
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage non‑finance stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Confidence working in a fast‑paced but supportive environment
• Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Excel

• Salary: £45,423 per annum
• Contract:
  
  15‑month maternity cover (starting July/August 2026)
• Hours:
  
  37.5 hours per week (Monday‑Friday)
• Working Pattern:
  Office‑based in Devizes with hybrid working (1 day WFH - Friday)
