Salary: £26,200 per annum

Summary:

A well-established charity is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Domestic Abuse Casework Coordinator to support women and children affected by domestic abuse across Wiltshire.

This rewarding role involves providing holistic, trauma-informed support to survivors, helping them rebuild their lives, improve their wellbeing, and move towards safe, independent futures. You ll work closely with each individual to assess their needs, develop tailored support and safety plans, and coordinate access to housing, health, legal and community services.

This post is restricted to female applicants under the Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of the service provided.

Day-To-Day Duties:
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments to identify the practical, emotional and safety needs of survivors and their children.
  • Develop and review personalised support plans and risk management plans through regular key work sessions.
  • Provide ongoing emotional support, advocacy and practical assistance to help individuals achieve their goals.
  • Support clients to access safe accommodation, healthcare, benefits, legal advice, education, employment and other relevant services.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, housing providers, health professionals, social care, police and other partner agencies.
  • Safeguard adults and children by identifying risks, following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records using internal case management systems.
  • Contribute to positive outcomes by empowering survivors to increase their independence, confidence and resilience.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and travel across the service area when required.
About You:
  • Experience working within domestic abuse, housing, homelessness, social care, mental health or a related support service.
  • Good understanding of the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse on survivors and children.
  • Experience carrying out assessments, developing support plans and managing complex caseloads.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience maintaining accurate case records.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
  • Flexible to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
