If you possess general knowledge of fertilizers and agricultural chemicals, math skills for converting chemical and fertilizer rates, experience using Excel and Word, managed customer accounts, an understanding of inventory ins and outs, along with reconciliations, government reporting, and the importance of recordkeeping requirements, we encourage you to apply for this position! • Initiate contact with retail customers and prospects to address their needs related to bill payments, account balances, complaints, office visits, phone inquiries, or other sales and customer relations activities.

• Organization of the office
• Organization and maintenance of the record‑keeping system, as established by the Davenport Office Manager, as well as the special record needs of the retail manager and retail general manager.

• Organizing records to ensure a system that meticulously monitors inventory losses and gains on a daily and seasonal basis, reporting those changes to the Davenport office manager.

• Working with the corporate office credit department (located in Davenport, IA) by assisting the retail manager with approval and collection of accounts and any special credit programs, crop liens, or lines of credit.

• Acknowledging the communication dynamics between the retail manager and the corporate office personnel.
• Keeping the retail manager updated on all office activities.
• Staying updated on product and program knowledge.
• Keeping updated on changes in the agricultural economy and the fertilizer industry.
• Engaging in additional training relevant to job performance, such as computer skills, programming, basic accounting, and a basic understanding of farming practices.
• Accountable for the physical presentation of the retail office area.

The Davenport office and retail manager will provide federal and state regulations related to the fertilizer and chemical industry. Procedures will be implemented, and guidelines must be followed to ensure compliance.
