We are seeking an experienced Works Manager to join a Tier 2 contractor delivering a major highways civils project in Leeds. This is a key site-based role supporting the delivery of complex highways works to programme, quality, and safety standards.

• Day-to-day management of site operations and subcontractors
• Overseeing highways and civil engineering works to ensure programme and quality targets are met
• Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with health & safety legislation, method statements, and risk assessments
• Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and logistics
• Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers, and site teams
• Monitoring progress and reporting on performance and issues
• Ensuring compliance with client and statutory requirements

• Proven experience as a Works Manager on major highways or civil engineering projects
• Experience working for a Tier 2 contractor preferred
• SMSTS or SSSTS (valid)
• CSCS Black Card (required)
• Strong knowledge of highways construction methodologies and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and manage site teams effectively

Candidates must be local to Leeds or willing to lodge locally at their own expense. No accommodation or travel allowances provided.
