About the Role:
Justteachers is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in a primary school in Dewsbury. The school is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment and strong support for pupils with additional needs. A permanent opportunity is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Support pupils to access learning and engage positively in classroom activities.
- Implement individual learning and behaviour support plans.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and communication development.
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and support staff to meet individual needs.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting.
- Knowledge of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language difficulties is desirable.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice.
- Ability to provide two education-based references.
