Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Are you an experienced Tekla Detailer looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a talented Senior Tekla Detailer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile structural and architectural steelwork projects.

This is a permanent position – not a contract role.
As a Senior Tekla Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings, ensuring projects move smoothly from design through to manufacture and installation.
Key Responsibilities- Create high-quality Tekla Structures 3D models and fabrication drawings
- Produce assembly drawings, GA drawings, bolt lists, and material take-offs
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
- Identify and resolve design clashes and technical challenges early
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards
- Support and mentor junior detailers
- Attend design and coordination meetings as required
- 5+ years' experience as a Tekla Detailer within the steelwork industry
- Strong knowledge of structural and secondary steelwork
- Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures
- Solid understanding of fabrication processes, welding symbols, tolerances, and installation methods
- Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior detailers
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and data exchange formats (IFC, DWG, etc.)
- Familiarity with Eurocodes and British Standards
