Role Overview
As the saying goes, no two days will be the same, but overall, your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and management of patients who would have traditionally been referred into secondary care rheumatology services with non‑inflammatory/persistent joint problems. You will develop and implement individualised treatment plans, including pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions, to optimally manage patients’ conditions.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and management of patients with non‑inflammatory/persistent joint problems.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, including pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
- Provide specialty advice to requests from stakeholders across the pathway.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Maintain professional relationships with external clinical stakeholders (e.g., secondary care consultants and GPs) to facilitate partnership working and the delivery of high‑quality rheumatology care.
- Professional qualification as a Physiotherapist, Sports Therapist, Osteopath or Chiropractor.
- Experience in conducting comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal needs.
- Ability to formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload of musculoskeletal patients.
- Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and a desire to develop yourself and the service.
- Strong communication skills and a keen eye on improving patient care.
Your interview process will consist of a video assessment following your application, followed by a traditional competency‑based interview with the hiring team, designed to demonstrate your capability across the pillars of practice.
