Description
Priory Hospital Dewsbury (located in Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire) is looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the team. This full‑time role (40 hours per week) is based in the residential area of Earlsheaton and involves level 2 rehabilitation services in two wards for male patients with mental health disorders.
Services include neuropsychiatry support, older people and dementia care, community‑focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health. While the hospital is not a 24/7 acute facility, it provides support to acute patients within its dementia services and accepts admissions from other care environments, including prisons.

What you'll be doingYou will be part of a compassionate team committed to our patients’ wellbeing. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient’s named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

Minimum 6 months post‑registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
