Senior Staff Nurse (RMN) Mental Health Hospital
Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
Up to £40,040 per annum
Full-Time | Permanent
We are recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse to join a leading Mental Health Hospital in Dewsbury, providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health and neuropsychiatric needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse with leadership experience to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team while further developing their clinical and management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high standards of person-centred care to service users within a specialist neuropsychiatric environment.
- Lead shifts and coordinate clinical activities across the ward.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing and healthcare staff.
- Promote recovery-focused care and positive patient outcomes.
- Ensure safe medication management and adherence to clinical standards.
- Support the development and wellbeing of junior team members.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Previous experience working within a mental health inpatient setting.
- Team Leader, Senior Nurse, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or equivalent leadership experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
- Experience with in neuropsychiatry, acquired brain injury, rehabilitation, or complex mental health services.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff.
- Salary of up to £40,040 per annum.
- Permanent, full-time position.
