Retail Supervisor – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. This is a permanent 39 hour full time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days a week from Monday to Friday. Full time positions require flexibility throughout the week, including weekends.

• Hours:
  
  39 hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £13.11 per hour, guaranteed 39 hours per week (at least £511 per week). Overtime may be available.

• Support the manager as part of the management team, leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the retail assistant team.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• A people person who gets on easily with everyone and can build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable for customers and team.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or other similar industries is preferable but not essential.
