Installation Technician, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Sayjo Recruitment are seeking a skilled Industrial / Comp Ex Electrician on behalf of a client, this is a permanent position and exciting opportunity.
The successful candidate will join a team, working across a range of industrial and manufacturing sites. In this role, you will carry out electrical installation works in accordance with technical drawings, construction plans, and site-specific requirements. You will play a key part in ensuring that all electrical installations meet the relevant British Standards and comply with the latest regulations.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based position that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities- Work in accordance with technical electrical drawings and construction plans, ensuring accurate and compliant installations.
- Install cable containment, cabling, and associated electrical components to required standards.
- Carry out Comp Ex inspection and remedial work
- Ensure all electrical work complies with current British Standards and the latest revisions.
- Follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and adhere to all site safety rules and procedures.
- Use correct PPE at all times, ensuring your work never endangers yourself or others.
- Contribute to and participate in regular toolbox talks with installation teams.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and quality control.
- Travel to multiple sites as required to support ongoing and upcoming installations.
- Comp Ex qualification EX01-04 and / or EX05-06 (or equivalent : 18th Edition, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, ECS Gold Card).
- Proven experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or heavy industry.
- Strong working knowledge of British Electrical Standards including inspection, testing, and installation requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices and compliance with RAMS.
- A full UK driving licence is essential due to site travel requirements.
- Safety‑conscious, reliable, and proactive.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality‑first mindset.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team on large industrial installations.
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Willingness to travel and work across various sites as required.
51,125.88 Basic (£25.21ph x 39 hours)
Overtime paid after 39 hours at T1 / 2 = £37.82ph
Overnight accommodation arranged and allowances paid
Holidays start at 25 days plus stats, increasing over 3 years to reach 28 days plus stats.
Pension – employer contribution 6%
