The Project Manager – Construction will effectively manage day-to-day activities of a construction manager, inspector, and observation team. They will be responsible for monitoring construction progress and reporting to the client the progress and impacts of construction activities. Utmost priority will be given to assuring safe and uninterrupted railway operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Oversee individuals assigned to construction management, inspection, and observation
- Manage all construction staff with proper training and audits as required
- Develop marketing plans for construction oversight opportunities
- Plan and organize project assignments
- Coordinate internal and external specialized work teams including agencies, utilities, subconsultants, and third parties
- Prepare proposals
- Meet with clients on a regular basis
- Develop and maintain client specific startup check off sheets
- Provide technical advice regarding construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors, and other staff members
- Plan, schedule, and monitor multiple engineering projects and personnel
- Perform and train others in effective technical writing and correspondence
- Perform business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
- Coordinate construction administration
- Apply broad understanding of civil engineering and other fields to reach innovative and interdependent solutions
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
- Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports
- Effective leadership skills

Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in Construction Management or 10 years construction experience
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management with 5 years of construction experience
- Testing certifications-ACI, ASTM, AWS, and OSHA
