Senior Civil Project Engineer

Overview

LIN Consulting has a Senior Project Engineer position opening in our Diamond Bar office. The ideal candidate will have expertise in civil engineering with emphasis in site development and public works projects. LIN Consulting is a DBE/SBE company specializing in Traffic, Civil and Electrical consulting. We provide services to Caltrans, counties, cities, and private owners and land developers in the Southern California area.

The qualified applicant will be responsible for plans, estimates, reports preparation and review. The applicant shall possess experience of the following: roadway geometry, subdivision, site development grading, drainage, sewer, water, and storm drain designs, as well as hydraulic, hydrologic, earthwork calculations, engineering estimate and specifications. The applicant shall be familiar with the NPDES requirements and preparation of erosion control plans, BMP report for LID or WQMP.

Knowledge in traffic engineering preparation is a plus. Examples of work will be requested to review during interviews (e.g., plans, calculations, reports).

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of project production engineering and technical professional activities as a Civil Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• California registered P.E. in Civil Engineering
• Hands-on and working knowledge of the latest AutoCAD version, Civil 3D and Micro Station
• Must have solid technical knowledge and effective communication skills in writing and oral presentation
• Understanding of project schedule and client’s needs
• Field work and construction observation experience
• Active member of industry organization is a plus such as ASCE, NSPE-CA
• Eligible to work in the United States

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Aspirations for Project Management
• California registered P.E. in Traffic Engineering
