Sr. Engineer – Packaging DesignThe Sr. Engineer applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. The engineer analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems, and improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects. The engineer designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field, and manages projects, applying engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
EssentialFunctions
- Creates and manages systems to streamline development and management of packaging specifications, materials, methods, and operating procedures.
- Manages multiple complex projects simultaneously across various packaging materials.
- Leads new packaging development and commercialization for all packaging materials.
- Initiates and performs cost analysis and technical feasibility studies on new packaging development through ideation and commercialization.
- Manages work with external vendors, suppliers, universities, and design agencies to enable agile development and decision‑making.
- Develops and applies technical knowledge and establishes credibility with technical audiences to benefit customers and the company.
- Creates detailed technical reports and business presentations for company executives.
- Translates data and compiles results to make clear recommendations to managers and executives.
- Analyzes supply chain and distribution environments and improves efficiencies and costs.
- Experiences managing confidentiality and intellectual property.
- Mentors and manages Level I and II engineers.
- Travel requirement of 25% is expected; some international travel may apply.

- Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Years – Experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
- 4 Years – Experience in position.
- 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 Years – Experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
- 6 Years – Experience working in position.
- 6 Years – Experience managing people/projects.
Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well in collaborative group environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Ability to set tone and drive pace on projects.
- Minimum
Required:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related field.
- Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field.
