Automotive Mechanic at ND Energy Services

An Automotive Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of company vehicles and to ensure vehicles can be safely operated.

• Inspect and evaluate vehicles and determine if any defects present
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles such as cleaning and lubricating
• Maintain routine vehicle maintenance schedules
• Make adjustments and repair vehicles, ensuring operating efficiency
• Maintain log book of all vehicle repairs, services, adjustments and work performed
• Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required.
• Reports any and all incidents immediately.
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Performs other duties as directed by management.

• 1-2 years previous auto mechanic experience
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Ability to assess and troubleshoot vehicle failure
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment
• Must possess organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs. and handle physical demanding work
• Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication
• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool
• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work

This job primarily operates in an indoor work environment but may occasionally operate in an outside environment. The role occasionally works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.

This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work as job duties demand.

• Valid Driver's License
• Class A or B CDL preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous mechanic experience preferred
• Valid certificate (e.g. ASE) a plus
