The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing developer and operator of next generation data centers. They are building large scale campuses in North Dakota and need two Senior EH&S Coordinators to own safety and environmental compliance on live construction sites and, over time, operational facilities.

You will work directly with general contractors, trade partners, site leadership and corporate EH&S to make sure the work is planned, permitted and executed safely.

What you will do
  • Review and enforce Site Specific Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses and Methods of Procedure with GCs and trade partners
  • Run daily huddles, toolbox talks and pre task planning on high risk work: high voltage electrical, industrial cooling, confined space
  • Lead inspections, audits and incident investigations through to closed corrective actions
  • Deliver site orientations and safety training for employees and contractors
  • Implement environmental programs covering stormwater, waste, air, spill prevention and permits, including monitoring, sampling and regulatory reporting
  • Produce weekly safety reports covering man hours, observations, hazard closure and incidents
  • Support safety planning for 24/7 operational data center environments
What you need
  • 7+ years of construction or industrial safety experience with leadership responsibility
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations (air, water, waste, stormwater)
  • Proven ability to run audits, investigations and training
  • Confident communicator who can influence GCs and senior site leaders
  • Valid driver's license
  • Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or a related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
Strongly preferred
  • CSP, CHST, OSHA 500 or OSHA 30
Important
  • These roles are site based and not open to travel. You must be local or willing to relocate to North Dakota.
  • Our client values long term commitment and wants people who will grow with the build out.
