Job Title: Locum Pediatrician Dickinson, ND

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license and board certification in Pediatrics
• Proven experience in neonatal resuscitation, intubations, UVC placement, and lumbar punctures
• Ability to manage pediatric admissions and discharges confidently
• Skilled in performing circumcisions and handling emergent neonatal procedures
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with nurses, specialists, and consulting physicians

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in Critical Access Hospitals or rural healthcare settings
• Prior experience with Level II nursery care and labor & delivery units
• Familiarity with working alongside OB/GYNs, anesthesia, respiratory therapists, and pediatric consultants
• Ability to handle pediatric emergencies independently

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree with valid North Dakota medical license
• At least 2 years of pediatric hospital or nursery experience
• Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Availability for scheduled shifts from November 21 to November 28 and December 17 to December 23, plus ongoing coverage into 2026
• Willingness to travel from your current location, with preferred lodging arrangements close to Dickinson
• Travel arrangements should consider dietary or?; candidate to specify any travel exceptions
• Willingness to work 7 days per month with 24-hour call shifts, including holiday coverage
• Support staff includes nursing teams, anesthesia, OB/GYNs, respiratory therapists, and pediatric consultants from Sanford Health and CHI St. Alexius Dickinson
• Credentialing can be expedited with emergency privileges for start date in November; billing enrollment required for services
