ND Pharmacy Technician-in-Training (Full‑Time) – Dickinson, ND

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician‑in‑Training in Dickinson, ND to start or grow a pharmacy career. Completion of Thrifty White Pharmacy’s Training Program (ASHP/ACPE Accredited) is required, along with all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy. The training program consists of 400.5 total hours; 271.25 of these hours are completed at the pharmacy as paid time.

The remaining 129.25 hours are unpaid and are to be completed online. Candidates must be willing to commit to completing the program within 9 months of the enrollment date.

• Providing excellent customer service to customers by building loyalty and repeat business.
• Championing Thrifty White programs such as Ready Refill, Medication Synchronization and Healthy Pack Rx  and assisting with enrolling patients.
• Maintaining prescription information to ensure accurate records.
• Understanding and following Medicare Part B requirements.
• Troubleshooting any rejected claims or billing issues.
• Assisting customers with Medicare Part D questions.
• Maintaining proper level of nursing home filling procedures.
• Learning and implementing new and changing technologies on an ongoing basis.
• Maintaining flexibility in new or changing work roles and the modification of job responsibilities as required.
• Helping anywhere in the store or nearby locations as needed.
• Good attendance and punctuality are required to fulfill the essential job functions.

Physical demands may include long periods of standing; the ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Applicant should possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, the ability to maintain patient confidentiality, and be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. The applicant must be currently be or willing to become a certified pharmacy technician registered in the state of MN.
