Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high‑quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
Required Licensure & Credentials- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or approved areas & ND licensure as an LCSW or LPCC.
- OR Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy & ND licensure as an LMFT.
- OR Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology with eligibility for licensure as an LMFT.
- OR Doctorate in Psychology & ND licensure as a psychologist.
- Human Relations Counselors require master’s in counseling & LAPC licensure; within two years of LPCC licensure.
- OR Master’s in Social Work & LMSW licensure.
- OR Master’s in Counseling & LPC licensure.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a defensive driving course during new‑hire orientation.
Typical Week – Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments & develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide culturally responsive therapy services to individuals, youth, and families experiencing severe or chronic mental illness.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, & trauma‑informed care.
- Collaborate with internal teams, medical providers, case managers, & community resources to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency and licensing requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, & ongoing professional development.
- Respond to crises & provide crisis risk assessments as needed.
