POSITION SCOPEThe Steel Processing Laborer works primarily in the Customer Service department, handling counter work orders, metal preparation for major fabrication projects and completion of other small fabrication projects. This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Customer Service Shop Foreman.
PRIMARY DUTIES- Fabricate and detail steel parts (bend, cut, drill, tap, etc.)
- Welding
- Build machinery following drafts/blueprints
- Service and maintain shop machinery, including removing, cleaning, checking and replacing parts/components
- Contribute to a positive work environment
- Demonstrate awareness, engagement, and accountability for work results
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with others in the work environment
- Adherent to company policies as dictated in the current employee handbook
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork for projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
