ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app).

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You are expected to engage by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts  you do not respond to our attempts at contact, your employment may be terminated.

If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are critical to your success in this role. Should you be offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.

After that, the myTime mobile scheduling app is where you can pick up the shifts you desire to work.

Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Guest Advocate, a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches and store events
• Know the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll, activate and use them
• Understand and demonstrate how to use Wallet and other Target App features
• Handle returns according to policy, coordinating with leaders as needed
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per Target policies
• Deliver easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
