Forklift Unloading Truck Description Team Lead

The role of a team lead in forklift unloading truck operations involves overseeing the team to ensure efficient and safe operations. Team leads are responsible for:

• Training and supervising junior operators to ensure they understand safety protocols and proper equipment operation.
• Coordinating with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Managing inventory to maintain accurate records and ensure timely replenishment.
• Performing routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to prevent accidents and ensure operational efficiency.
• Reporting discrepancies and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. A team lead with experience in forklift operations and a strong understanding of warehouse management can lead a team to achieve operational excellence and contribute to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Other Duties To Include

• Operating forklifts to move materials around the facility or worksite.
• Ensuring efficient and safe transportation of materials and products.
• Inspecting forklifts for safety and maintenance needs and reporting any issues or damages.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.
  
  Checking loads are secure and properly distributed.
• Stacking empty pallets and reorganizing the storage areas.
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the forklift's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Using equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
• Always adhering to safety procedures and standards.
• Daily inspection reports.
