QUARTZ - MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - NIGHTS

Dal‑Tile seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform complex mechanical and electrical duties in a manufacturing environment. The role includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLCs, electronic controllers, and variable frequency drives.

• Install, maintain, and replace electronic programmable controllers and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems using handheld devices or laptops.
• Design, program, and redesign PLC and operator panel software.
• Format hard drives and install computer and application setups.
• Locate and diagnose electrical equipment using blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
• Compute load requirements for wiring and electrical equipment.
• Apply process improvement plans to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Lead projects, returning equipment to production safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
• 4+ years industrial maintenance experience and 2+ years industrial electrical experience.
• Formal PLC training preferred.
• Knowledge of serial port communication, VFDs, and process control instrumentation.
• Knowledge of servo motors and drive units.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs, score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam.
