The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care, identifies nursing problems, plans individualized care, and participates in continuous performance improvement. When acting as charge nurse, you will manage daily activities, staff assignments, and serve as a clinical resource.
Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic communication and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
- Identify nursing problems related to patient needs.
- Plan and coordinate individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.
- Document all patient care and utilize the nursing process to meet patient needs.
- Serve as a role model and clinical resource for staff.
- Respond promptly to requests for information or follow‑up with physicians, staff, or patient issues.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of PHI.
- BS or AS in Nursing from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months.
- NRP certification required within 6 months.
- AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certification within one year.
- CPI Training & Certification required within 6 months.
- Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.
