American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and ICU critical care experience.

• Six-bed ICU unit within the hospital's main building
• Patient ratios mainly 2:1, with some 1:1 and 3:1 assignments
• Unit staffed with one nurse tech to support care delivery
• Uses specialized equipment including Arctic Sun and Continuous EEG monitoring, plus newly added GE ICU monitors
• Charts using the Meditech documentation system
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
• Floats to the ICU overflow unit as needed

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills required
• Experience with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and intubation
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with varying acuity levels
• Facility is expanding its ICU service lines and capability, with a newly approved expansion that will double ICU capacity
• Recognized as one of the highest-ranking HCA facilities for quality and staff engagement
• Unit-specific policies and guidelines provided during onboarding with the facility educator
• Required dress code:
  Galaxy Blue or Pewter scrubs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
