Overhead Crane Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Inspection and Service Technician who is looking for a unique opportunity to help us manage the growth of our company.

Our 36 year old company is a manufacturer, service and inspector of cranes and represents major companies such as Columbus McKinnon, EMH, Harrington, Conductix, Duct O Bar, Spanco and Thern Products.

You must have a proven track record in crane diagnosis and repair including strong electrical and mechanical capabilities. You should be able to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to overhead cranes, wire rope and chain hoists and jib cranes. The ability to inspect, repair and install a varety of electrification methods including Figure 8, Cable Reels and Flatwire Festoon is required.

There is minimal overnight travel and we focus on customers who don't require services that occur over holidays or weekends. Time with family is key and we support our employees effort to balance family and work. We guarantee a 40 hour work week and have some overtime available but you won't be asked to travel week after week traveling.

We are a family owned overhead crane manufacturer who also provides inspection and service. We are expanding and adding key technicians. Our company is completely different that what you are probably use to. How is that?#1 - We only work M-F, 7 am - 3 pm.#2 - While there is some opportunity for overtime, we don't attract nor pursue companies who demand weekend work or work over holidays.

Family is important and we have created a successful company that can flourish with a 5 days per week schedule.#3 - We have learned that if you work your crew to death and abuse them, they will eventually quit. Turnover costs way more money than changing your model to the type of company we are today.#4 - Ok, I've heard this  We are like family  line before.

We see the private equity model and its all about making money. Sure we need to be profitable but as owner, we don't want to work weekends and like to camp or visit our kids. We don't ask our employees to do anything we wouldn't do. Its simple.#5 - We need you to move to the Dickson area. We are a little different and keep our work trucks at our single service location where they can be locked up.

We provide all tools unless you want to put a few of your own onboard.#6 - There isn't much overnight travel but if you were to stay somewhere overnight, we try to stay at Holiday Inn Selects and pay for your meals, lodging and even pay you an additional $55 per night you are away.#7 - The best part is that I'm offering a $5000 signing bonus if you are vetted and ready to start in November.
