Job Title: Resource Parent Support I (RPS I)

Reports To: RPS Team Leader, RPS Team Coordinator, Director of RPS
FLSA Status: All Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: The Resource Parent Support I (RPS I or RPS NE) under the supervision of the RPS Team Leader or designee works closely with the Foster Care Team to identify, license, and retain foster families for the region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Attend supervision at least twice monthly.
- Attend weekly regional RPS team meetings.
- Become certified to train all foster parent pre-service and post approval courses.
- Provide Pre-Service and ongoing foster parent training activities.
- Maintain foster home compliance and paperwork (licensure requirements, home studies, background checks, monthly check-ins, quarterly compliance checks, re-assessments, etc.).
- Provide ongoing efforts to audit and maintain foster parent charts.
- Participate in recruitment and marketing activities.
- Recruit and license new foster homes to meet quarterly standards.
- Stay current on DCS/contract provider requirements.
- Complete annual training requirements.
- Participate in monthly RPS calls.
- Utilize all electronic platforms.
- Attend weekly Treatment team.
- Attend 2-3 RPS retreats a year throughout the state.
- Support client placement efforts and respite care.

TRAVELThis position requires travel of approximately 25-50% of the time to meet the demands across the Region and for statewide meetings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExperience working with children/adolescents in a therapeutic treatment environment and complying with state and/or contractual requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSLicensed driver with automobile insurance in good standing.
QUALIFICATIONS- Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; respond effectively to inquiries; write speeches and articles; deliver persuasive presentations.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and use statistical analysis for program evaluation.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Leadership Skills – Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels; handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
