Receptionist

Didcot | £24,479 per annum | Full Time, Permanent

Reed are partnering with a well-established professional services organisation in Didcot to recruit a Receptionist. This is an excellent opportunity for a personable and organised individual who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and thrives in a varied role combining reception, administration, and facilities support responsibilities.

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities Reception
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Welcome clients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage visitor sign-in procedures.
  • Maintain reception, meeting rooms, and client waiting areas to a high standard.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post, DX, and deliveries.
  • Collect and deliver DX from the local depot.
  • Receive office supplies and deliveries.
Administration
  • Carry out client identification checks.
  • Accept payments and issue receipts.
  • Log and retrieve deeds and important documents.
  • Support with photocopying, scanning, filing, and general administration.
  • Assist with archiving files and document management.
  • Provide administrative support to colleagues across the business.
Facilities
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance requests.
  • Monitor and order stationery supplies.
  • Ensure kitchen supplies are regularly replenished.
  • Maintain first aid kits and health and safety records.
  • Support the overall presentation and smooth running of the office.
About You
  • Previous experience in a reception, administration, or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and visitors.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and willing to support colleagues when required.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional presentation and a positive, proactive attitude.
