Receptionist
Didcot | £24,479 per annum | Full Time, Permanent
Reed are partnering with a well-established professional services organisation in Didcot to recruit a Receptionist. This is an excellent opportunity for a personable and organised individual who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and thrives in a varied role combining reception, administration, and facilities support responsibilities.
Working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
Key Responsibilities Reception- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
- Welcome clients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures.
- Maintain reception, meeting rooms, and client waiting areas to a high standard.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, DX, and deliveries.
- Collect and deliver DX from the local depot.
- Receive office supplies and deliveries.
- Carry out client identification checks.
- Accept payments and issue receipts.
- Log and retrieve deeds and important documents.
- Support with photocopying, scanning, filing, and general administration.
- Assist with archiving files and document management.
- Provide administrative support to colleagues across the business.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance requests.
- Monitor and order stationery supplies.
- Ensure kitchen supplies are regularly replenished.
- Maintain first aid kits and health and safety records.
- Support the overall presentation and smooth running of the office.
- Previous experience in a reception, administration, or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and visitors.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Reliable, adaptable, and willing to support colleagues when required.
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Professional presentation and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Salary of £24,479 per annum
