About the role
To support the design and development of innovative consumer, industrial and medical products at OPD.
About youWe’re looking for an experienced Industrial Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably gained within a consultancy environment.
Role Responsibilities- Producing innovative and technically excellent designs
- Communicating with clients clearly and confidently
- Delivering project outputs within scope, to time and on budget
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues
- Ability to work autonomously and independently when required, with a proactive approach regarding project deliverables and prioritisation
- Demonstrating good judgement in decision making
- 3+ years of relevant Industrial Design experience
- Degree in Industrial Design
- A natural design eye, demonstrating variety and creativity
- Motivation towards the application of human factors to product development
- Excellent hand sketching and visualisation skills
- Ability to communicate design clearly and concisely
- Solid understanding of manufacturing techniques and consideration of their impact on design concepts
- Strong CAD surfacing skills [Solid Works] and use of Adobe Creative Suite
- Rhino skills would be beneficial
