Didcot Girls’ School is seeking an enthusiastic, supportive and engaging Spanish Foreign Language Assistant. The post will start from September 2026 if possible and involves 9.5 hours a week in term time only, which could be timetabled over 2 days. The rate is £21.73.

The Spanish Language Assistant plays a key role within the Modern Foreign Languages Department in supporting students to successfully develop their confidence and ability to communicate orally in Spanish, as well as to prepare for the GCSE and A-Level speaking examinations. They work in close collaboration with teachers, in or outside the classroom, and with students in small breakout groups, or one to one.

The successful candidate will be a Spanish native speaker and have a passion for learning and working with young people, helping them to improve their language skills as well as their cultural knowledge. They will be an outstanding role-model promoting language learning and nurturing outstanding working relationships with students aged 15 to 18.
