Location: South Oxfordshire

Term: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on relevant experience

My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Product Support Engineer with an Electronics / Mechatronics bias, on a permanent basis, in the South Oxfordshire area.

The Product Support Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• NVQ/ HNC/ HND/ BTEC/Degree qualified or similar in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
• Have some form of industry experience in a technical role after your studies too - previous experience working in a similar technical engineering, technical sales, technical support or manufacturing environment would be ideal
• Knowledge of inverters, motion controllers, or similar is needed - further training will be provided
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written; to work well over the phone
• Be able to work well individually as well as a team
• Be proficient with using MS Office applications
• CRM systems / SAP knowledge would be an advantage but isn't essential
• A Full UK Driving Licence would be essential for attending customer sites so flexibility to travel occasionally is needed too

• Providing technical support to customers with regards to company products
• You will be involved pre-sales on the application side of things
• And also after-sales with troubleshooting issues
• Providing timely technical assistance over the phone, email and in person
• Working with the company CRM system
• Working closely with different company departments to help with product improvements
• Always driving continuous improvement
• Delivering technical training sessions when required
